6 — Sign the peer-to-peer hire agreement

1. What you're agreeing to

You appoint Drivily Ltd as your agent to hire out the vehicle described above to drivers we have verified. You remain the owner and registered keeper throughout.

2. Money

You keep 70% of every completed hire. Drivily keeps 30%, which covers insurance, verification, support and payment processing. Payouts run every Friday through Stripe Connect to the account you gave in section 4.

3. Insurance

From the moment a hire starts until the vehicle is returned, Drivily's master policy is the policy on cover. Your own policy and your no-claims bonus are not touched by anything that happens during a hire. Outside hire periods, your own insurance applies as normal.

4. Your responsibilities

  1. Keep MOT, road tax and servicing current.
  2. Tell us within 24 hours about any damage, warning light or recall.
  3. Make the vehicle available on the dates you've marked open, or block them in your portal in advance.
  4. Do not hire the vehicle to anyone outside the platform while it is listed.

5. Damage and claims

Report damage in the portal within 24 hours of the vehicle being returned. We assess it, recover the renter's excess and pay the repair. Claims reported later may not be recoverable.

6. Ending it

Pause or withdraw your vehicle at any time in your portal. Existing confirmed bookings must be honoured or cancelled with at least 48 hours' notice. Either side may end this agreement with 14 days' written notice.

7. Declarations

By signing you confirm: you own the vehicle or hold the registered keeper's written permission; the documents you've uploaded are genuine and current; the vehicle has valid MOT and road tax and no outstanding safety recall; and you authorise Drivily to hire it out on your behalf under these terms.

Sign the rental terms

1. Who can drive

Only you may drive, unless you add a named driver at checkout and they pass the same checks. You must hold a full UK or full EU/EEA licence, be 21 or over, and have no more than 9 penalty points.

2. Insurance and excess

Comprehensive cover and UK breakdown assistance run for the whole booking. Your damage excess is £1,000, or £150 if you buy the excess reduction. You are liable for the excess if the car is damaged while in your care.

3. Using the car

  1. No racing, track use, towing, driving instruction or paid passenger work.
  2. No smoking or vaping. Cleaning charges apply.
  3. Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs — this voids all cover.
  4. Stay in the UK unless you've told us in advance.

4. Mileage and fuel

60 free miles a day, then 25p a mile. Return the car with the same fuel or charge level you collected it with.

5. Fines and damage

Parking fines, congestion charges and speeding penalties from your trip are yours, plus a £25 admin fee per notice. Photograph the car before you drive off and after you return it — this is your evidence if damage is disputed.

6. Cancellation

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup. Inside 24 hours, the first day's hire is charged.

7. Declaration

By signing you confirm your licence is full, valid and not suspended, that the documents you've uploaded are genuine, and that you accept these terms for every booking you make.
